Barna Recycling at GMIT Green Campus Day

GMIT Green Campus Day

Barna Recycling attended the GMIT Green Campus Day on Monday 2nd October. The day was officially opened by the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Denis Naughten TD.

Barna Recycling attended to promote correct waste management and to educate students about the correct way to dispose of waste in college and at home. We also ran a competition on the day. Students were required to guess the number of aluminium cans in the bag at our stand.

We had a huge number of entries and received great interest at our stand on the day. Thank you to all GMIT students for taking part in the competition. The 1st place winner of the competition will receive 2 Luxury Cinema Tickets with the Eye Cinema in Galway. 2nd and 3rd price will receive a pair of cinema tickets with the Eye Cinema.

We are sure you are all wondering what the answer to our competition is….

Question: How Many Aluminium Cans are in the Bale?

Answer: 307

We will contact the winning students who provided us with their mobile number on the day. Well done!

We took some photos on the day, see below.
